He is Risen

He is Risen Indeed!!

The sun made it through the fog at the sunrise service at Bradbury Mountain.

Zac piped us some Resurrection Hymns at the top of the mountain.
Happy Easter!

Happy Birthday Gus!

Happy Sixth Birthday Augustin!!  It's hard to believe that it's been six years, but considering the then- and- now photos, six years has brought about many changes!

Gus is our resident sports fan, and he covers that role to the extent that you might not guess that the rest of us aren't.  He's slowly but surely turning me into a catch playing fan, although he hasn't yet convinced me that I really need to wear cleats for that backyard activity.

Tomorrow is the first ever Little League practice for Gus, and we've heard about nothing else for weeks now.  He talked about it incessently, watched movies about baseball, checked out all the library books on baseball, and even watched baseball coaching videos on Netflix.

That's probably where some of the misconceptions came from...

One night during the dinnertime baseball monologue, I realized that Gus was talking about stadiums, uniforms, and locker rooms for HIS team.  We tried to let him down gently, but when he found out there was no paycheck involved, he couldn't contain his disgust.

 "That STINKS!"

But he's come to terms with the school ball fields now, and has even gotten past the lack of a locker room, and is just anticipating the game.  Play Ball Gus!

And Happy Birthday, We love you!

By Popular Demand

Well, by demand of at least one friend, Deidra, who wanted to see some updated photos of the kids.  Here are 4/5 of them.  Rachel will be coming soon.

Zac is 16, Lydia is 10, Moriah 8, and Gus 5.  Rachel not pictured here is 14 now, and they've grown up tremendously as you can see.
